Welcome to Julie Donald’s Music School.

My name is Julie Donald or as most people call me ‘Jools’, I have been teaching private music lessons in Nottingham for over 25 years. The most important aspect of any music lesson is for the student to have fun, enjoy the lesson and feel comfortable. The lessons that I teach are on a one to one basis and are totally adapted to meet each individual students needs.

I teach all ages of students starting with children aged 4 through to mature students. Many of my students have been with me from young children through their school and college years and on to university.

If students wish to take examination grades, I use various examination boards including

• L.C.M (London College Of Music)
• A.B.R.S.M (Associated Board Royal School Of Music)
• OCR (Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations)
• EDEXCEL

However, not all students wish to go down the examination route and if that is you then that is fine as I also offer leisure play where you just learn to enjoy whichever instrument/genre you choose, there is nothing worse than thinking my music lesson is just exam, exam, exam. Music should be fun for all.
